Sky Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by; wonderful hiking is available along the Whitly Gap Trail. Some of the things you can do here at Cherokee Campground are hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, playing golf, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. | season, you should go camping. A journey to Cherokee Campground wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Moccasin Creek State Park, and if you're here at Cherokee Campground, checking out Grimes Nose is a must. Lots of people camp here through their visit to Unicoi State Park. Cherokee Campground is a campground prized by the people in Sautee Nacoochee. people. Go for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Innsbruck Resort & Golf Club is around here. Cherokee Campground gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest of the months is October.
At Cherokee Campground through the warm months highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Cherokee Campground dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This is
such a wonderful campground. At Cherokee Campground you always meet someone from Sautee Nacoochee, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Mud Creek. This campground is always a joy. Don't leave Cherokee Campground without first going for a hike along the Chattahoochee Trail;
Unicoi State Park is worth going to. Cherokee Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. All the pleasant local attractions in the vicinity and the pleasant variety of outdoors recreation are delightful incentives to come. All the outdoors
fun stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Going for a hike on the Raven Cliff Falls Trail is always a tremendous adventure, also Sky Lake Dam is worth checking out while you're here. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Cherokee Campground.
