Canal Lake Campground, Blue Ridge Mountains, Georgia   As if Canal Lake Campground wasn't enough, you can also go fishing, playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of amusing things to do won’t happen. Go for a hike   on the Black Mountain Trail; while you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Union County Government Butternut Creek Golf Course. The perfect folks who control this spot and the magnificent facilities attract people from far and wide. There's such an incredible array of things to do near Canal Lake Campground, and spending time at this campground is exceptionally fun. There are nice spots to explore along the DeSoto Falls Trail, and glide down the rapids of Cooper Creek in a kayak. If you are in Georgia all through camping season, you have to go camping. That right there is plenty of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Going for a hike on the Arkaquah Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and Morton Lake is a fine lake nearby. When you're here at Canal Lake Campground it's always fun to go to Chattahoochee National Forest, and Morton Lake Dam is not far at all from Canal Lake Campground. This camp ground is to be found in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains. During the warm days of summer at Canal Lake Campground temperatures are regularly in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows through the wintertime for Canal Lake Campground tend to be in the 20's. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is such a perfect campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Helton Creek, and Loftis Mountain can be seen from Canal Lake Campground.
