A golf course in the vicinity of Blackburn Park and Campground is Nicklaus Golf Club at Birch River, and going for a hike on the Duncan Ridge Trail is always a great adventure.     can go to while here; close by you locate the DeSoto Falls Trail which is a great hiking trail.

Park and Campground through the summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Blackburn Park and Campground.
All year is a fine time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you like the outdoors. There are nice places to explore along the Coosa Backcountry Trail, and get covered with water paddling on Etowah River. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Yahoola Creek, and Vogel State Park is a fine spot to go. You could
