Big Oaks River Resort is not the only site nearby, Lake Rousseau is a nearby lake, and you'll perhaps meet some folks from Yankeetown here. This is truly a nice campground. Don't leave Big Oaks River Resort without going to Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. Big Oaks River Resort gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is October. Throughout the days of summer here at Big Oaks River Resort, high temperatures typically reach the 90's; the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, usually in the 60's.
