Paddling on Quaboag River is so much fun, and Wilderness Lake is not far at all from Willington. This is really a tremendous campground. Visiting Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. All the outdoors exciting stuff |
in the vicinity of Wilderness Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. There's always Halchek Pond Dam to pop by in the neighborhood of Wilderness Lake; Keene Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit.
There's plenty of outdoors recreation available in
| the neighborhood such as fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and playing golf, so you won’t get bored. This campground is so striking. Get dripping wet paddling on Salmon River; Wilderness Lake is right next door to Mansfield Hollow State Park which is a wonderful site. The fine people who run this place and the massive amount of exciting things to do are in themselves cause enough to come here.

course like Skungamaug River Golf Club. Natchaug River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby; the peak of Village Hill can be seen from Wilderness Lake.
When you're here at Wilderness Lake it's always fun to visit Bigelow Hollow State Park; the snow is fine at Pine
Ridge. Scores of people stay at Wilderness Lake for the purpose of being near Mansfield Hollow State Park.
Wilderness Lake is a very popular campground with people of Willington. At Wilderness Lake fun stuff to do is abundant, and it definitely is a fine campground.
Summertime
brings highs in the 80's to Wilderness Lake with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Wilderness Lake temperatures dip to the 10's.
