Wilderness Lake, Connecticut   A campground like this is too delightful to miss. A trip to Wilderness Lake wouldn’t be complete without a tour to close by Bigelow Hollow State Park. At Wilderness Lake you can distinguish Village Hill; Halchek Pond Dam is charming. There are some nice whitewater spots on Salmon River; hey, Gotta ski right? Pine Ridge is a nice place to do that. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the fun stuff you can do is fishing, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so it's not possible to get bored. Quite a lot of enjoyable things to do next to     Wilderness Lake, and it is a brilliant campground. The folks who care for the campground and the extremely nicely controlled facilities are reason enough to come here. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Natchaug River, and Mansfield Hollow State Park is worth stopping at. During the warmest time of the year at Wilderness Lake highs are generally in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Wilderness Lake. If you're here at Wilderness Lake, you could stop by Keene Brook, and a spree to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. Wilderness Lake is very popular with visitors from Willington. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Wilderness Lake is   not the only place close by, Ruby Lake is a close by lake, and you're sure to run into some cheerful folks from Willington here. This campground is so delightful. If you come at the right time of year, Quaboag River offers some magnificent whitewater, and Skungamaug River Golf Club is a great golf course nearby. Finally, it's time for a camping trip again, and Wilderness Lake in Connecticut is precisely the spot. Wilderness Lake is a reasonably wet place frequently with a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is February. Scores of people stay at this campground to be next to Mansfield Hollow State Park. It's not possible to get bored in Connecticut if you fancy the outdoors.
