If you're here at Sterling Park Campground and you like golf, you can check out Foster Country Club, and if you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some great whitewater. Hopeville Pond State Park is a nice site to pop by, and hiking along the Walkabout Trail is tremendous fun.

You clearly should go for Sterling Park Campground. Gibson Hill is clearly visible from Sterling Park Campground, and Oneco Pond Dam is pretty. If you haven’t been to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, you must schedule some time for it since you're here. Connecticut is a good outdoors state.
Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Munyan Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Yawgoo Valley if you're here. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Sterling Park Campground with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Sterling Park Campground.
