Going for a hike along the Wild Cat Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Bantam River. The surroundings of this campground have such a large number of things to offer. Hiking along the Indian Trail is good fun; Stonybrook Golf Course is a good golf course nearby. Take a hike on the Elbow Trail, and Johnson Hollow is a pleasant location to visit. So many exciting things close to Mohawk Campground, completely tremendous. | |

You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Mohawk Mountain, and if you come at the right time of year, Shepaug River offers some great whitewater. This campground is so tremendous. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mohawk Campground with nighttime lows in the 50's.
The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Mohawk Campground all through the winter typically sink into the 0's. Mohawk Campground is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is August while February is commonly the driest month. Get soaked paddling on Housatonic River, and Mohawk Campground is right by the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
