Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve is worth checking out if you're at Kettletown State Park, and you'll discover a delightful lake called Ball Pond. This campground is so wonderful. Pootatuck State Forest is a nice local forest, and on a glorious day you can pop by Beaver Bog, a swamp close to Kettletown State Park. Pine Ledge is near Kettletown State Park and is a picturesque beach to visit, and Beaver Bog Mountain can be spotted from Kettletown   State Park. With such a large number of things to do in Connecticut you'll never get bored. The yearly precipitation here at Kettletown State Park is about average; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Kettletown State Park called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Housatonic River. Throughout the summer at Kettletown State Park temperatures are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Kettletown State Park.
