Branchbrook Campground, Connecticut Custom Search   We don't have golf or whitewater rafting in the campground there is a pool and a pond for fishing a small playground, but no planned activities or game room.? It's pretty quiet. There is lots? of hiking right across the brook though. And Bantam Lake is only 8 miles away for fishing and boating. Amusement Parks too are close and Museums. It is not a big resort campground. It is small and quiet.? Sites are big though, and full hookup. Thanks. Playing golf is lots of fun at Fairview Farm Golf Course, and there's whitewater on Farmington River - Collinsville for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Branchbrook Campground is a campground quite frequently visited by the people of Thomaston. A lot of people stay at this campground when they come to stop by Black Rock State Park. The skiing at Woodbury is splendid; the Mattatuck Trail   is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. A journey to Southford Falls State Park revives the soul, and Purgatory Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. Going for a hike on the Tunxis Trail is always a perfect adventure; lakes are such peaceful sites, why not take a look at Black Rock Pond. This is such a magnificent campground. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Branchbrook Campground called the Naugatuck Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Bantam River. Some brilliant nature is available in Mattatuck State Forest; Black Rock State Park is a glorious place to visit. Connecticut has so much stuff to offer nature lovers. High temperatures at Branchbrook Campground during the summer months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's.
