Branchbrook Campground, Connecticut   We don't have golf or whitewater rafting in the campground there is a pool and a pond for fishing a small playground, but no planned activities or game room.? It's pretty quiet. There is lots? of hiking right across the brook though. And Bantam Lake is only 8 miles away for fishing and boating. Amusement Parks too are close and Museums. It is not a big resort campground. It is small and quiet.? Sites are big though, and full hookup. Thanks. Loads of people pick this campground to be near Black Rock State Park. Purgatory Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to; hiking is a popular thing to do around Branchbrook Campground; Tunxis Trail is a brilliant local trail. A journey to Southford Falls State Park when you're here at Branchbrook Campground is never a bad idea, and you can go for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail. This campground has it all. You'll meet a lot of people from Thomaston here, and Shepaug River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. Branchbrook Campground is a rather wet place commonly with a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month is February. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Branchbrook Campground. Why not take a refreshing hike   along the Regicides Trail. Lakes? Sure, Black Rock Lake is close at hand, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Woodbury. You truly can't spend too much time in the city; you have to get out now and then; Branchbrook Campground is a pleasant local campground if you happen to be in Connecticut. Any time is a perfect time at Branchbrook Campground if you have a thing about the outdoors. Going to Black Rock State Park close to Branchbrook Campground is a good thing to do, and an attention-grabbing thing to stop at near Branchbrook Campground is Black Rock Pond Dam. Connecticut is a pleasant place for outdoors folks. At Branchbrook Campground all through the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Branchbrook Campground temperatures drop to the 10's. Bantam River is a brilliant whitewater spot near Branchbrook Campground, and glorious hiking is available along the Naugatuck Trail. You don't should go far from Branchbrook Campground to enjoy Mattatuck State Forest, and the top of Eagle Rock is easily spotted from Branchbrook Campground.
