West Lake - Arapaho National Forest, Front Range, Colorado   Outdoors people generally go for this section of Colorado. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Thompson River, and Dixon Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! West Lake is great! There is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of West Lake called the Round Mountain Trail. Lakes? Sure, Dixon Reservoir is in the vicinity. The warmest time of the year at West Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. During the     moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to West Lake. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Cache La Poudre River; Spring Canyon Dam is a gorgeous place. All the outdoors cool things near West Lake will keep you coming back over and over. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Front Range. There are perfect sites to look at along the Sheep Creek Trail, and the fine people of Fort Collins like to hang out close by. The Front Range scenery is always stunning. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. The Jug Trail is a good hiking trail close to West Lake; needless to say, all our national parks are good spots to check out and Rocky Mountain National Park is no exception. Loads of people camp here when   they come to stop by Lory State Park. The caring ambiance and the attractiveness of the site are a great draw for a lot of people. There's heaps of outdoors recreation available around here such as hiking, playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so possibly you want to stick around for a while. Boyd Lake State Park is worth stopping at if you're at West Lake, and of course, everyone loves Lory State Park. The surroundings of this campground have such a vast number of things to offer. Cache La Poudre River is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of West Lake, and going for a hike on the Greyrock Trail is always a delightful adventure. Not much precipitation falls here at West Lake; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This campground is so magnificent. Near West Lake you locate the Wintersteen Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and Fort Collins Country Club Golf is a golf course close by. West Lake is a very popular campground among the people in Fort Collins. You've been indoors for too long, you have to get out, and West Lake in Colorado is a good site to go.
