Vega   is a location that is quite dried up regularly; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Vega reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Vega. Going for a hike on the Cache Creek Trail is always a great adventure; don't leave without popping by Grand Mesa National Forest. This campground is so great. Kannah Creek is a perfect whitewater spot near Vega, and why not check out close by Hawxhurst Creek since you're here at Vega.
