If time allows, Mesa Verde National Park is a national park worth going to; Dolores River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. The nice local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are great reasons to come. So many entertaining things right next door to United Campground-mesa Verda, and it is a very splendid campground.

Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Mesa Verde is excellent! Nearby lakes? Sure, Bauer Reservoir Number 2 is near United Campground-mesa Verda, and don't leave United Campground-mesa Verda without first going for a hike along the Old Tourist Trail. A campground like
this is too great to miss. Mancos State Park is a good spot, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Whites Trail. Don't forget to take a perfect little journey to Chicken Creek, and going for a hike on the Chicken Creek Trail is always a fine adventure.
I don't
want to stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at United Campground-mesa Verda. Hesperus Ski Center has perfect slopes and a friendly staff, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the East Rim Trail. The splendid folks who manage this location and all the fun stuff
to do beat anything.
Through the summer months at United Campground-mesa Verda highs are typically in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at United Campground-mesa Verda fall into the 10's. This sector of Colorado has a splendid deal of outdoors activities offered.
