Whitewater rapids are hazardous phenomenons, so you should check restrictions   before you go. There is a perfect hiking trail near Tall Texan Campground called the Fossil Ridge Trail. Catch full-scale fish at nearby Gunnison Sports Outfitters, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Lowline Trail. Coming to this campground is always a pleasant idea.
