Steamboat Lake State Park is a great location to
visit, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Big Creek Bridge Trail. During the warmest time of the year at Steamboat Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 20's; nighttime
lows in the 0's for Steamboat Lake.
Steamboat Lake is a very well loved campground by the people in Clark. If you come to this campground, you will have a splendid time for sure. Pearl Lake State Park is a striking spot any time of year, and the Chilton Trail is a tremendous
hiking trail close by.
In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elk River, and Lester Mountain is clearly visible from Steamboat Lake. Steamboat Lake is one of the sites to camp here in the Park Range. At Steamboat Lake you don’t see much rain; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month is February.
