| | Some of the things you can do here at Silver Bar are hiking, playing golf, and whitewater paddling, so it's not possible to get bored. This campground is always a joy. Threemile Creek is a nice place to take a look at, and Colorado River is a nice whitewater spot close by.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Silver Bar, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Silver Bar. Going to Harvey Gap State Park in close proximity to Silver Bar |
is a nice thing to do, and Silver Bar is not far at all from Glenwood Springs. Golf can be played at Ironbridge Golf Club.
A tremendous location for whitewater paddling near Silver Bar is Roaring Fork, and brilliant hiking is available along the Blue Creek Trail. The snow is
| wonderful at Sunlight Mountain, and Rifle Falls State Park is a pleasant place to stop by on a delightful day. The pleasant folks working here and the enormously satisfactorily operated facilities attract people from far and wide.
Silver Bar gets very little precipitation; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. The good variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came.
