Rainbow Lodge, San Juan and Jemez Mountains, Colorado   On a wonderful day at Rainbow Lodge you can take a hike along the Lake Fork National Recreation Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Wolf Creek close at hand. This campground has so many fun things to offer. If the weather is great here at Rainbow Lodge, you can go for a hike along the Wolf Creek Stock Driveway. Rainbow Lodge is a very popular campground among people of South Fork. This campground is so fine. Rainbow Lodge is close to Walker Draw which is beyond doubt worth checking out, and there are some nice whitewater spots on San Juan River     - East Fork. There's more to do right next door to Rainbow Lodge other than just hanging out such as fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's completely out of the question to get bored. There is a fine hiking trail close to Rainbow Lodge called the Silver Creek Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio Grande. When was the last time you went camping for a couple of days? Rainbow Lodge, Colorado is a tremendous site for getting out. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always lovely. The pleasant people working here and all the exciting things to do are reason enough to come here. At Rainbow Lodge during the warm months highs are in the 60's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows   at Rainbow Lodge throughout the winter mostly fall into the 0's. Colorado is a tremendous site for campers. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir, and at Rainbow Lodge you always meet someone from South Fork. The Hot Creek Stock Driveway is a glorious hiking trail in the vicinity of Rainbow Lodge, and if you come at the right time of year, Wolf Creek offers some good whitewater. The tremendous local attractions and so much stuff to do are guaranteed to keep you coming back many times. You simply should adore the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Some nearby water includes South Fork Rio Grande, and close by you hit upon the Dry Creek Stock Driveway which is a splendid hiking trail. Rainbow Lodge sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most snow while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
