Prospector - White River National Forest, Colorado

| | The welcoming ambiance and a splendid variety of amusing things are reason enough to come here. Roaring Fork River is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and a golf course close by is Ironbridge Golf Club. Prospector is an old favorite with people from Glenwood Springs.
Paddling on Colorado River is so much fun, and an afternoon playing golf at Glenwood SPGS Golf Club is always a diversion. Prospector gets very little precipitation; October is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. |
There's great hiking along the Blue Creek Trail, and Hughes Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could have a look at.
The warmest time of the year at Prospector comes with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs
| are in the 30's with temperatures at Prospector dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
Such a perfect pick of attractions and the perfect variety of outdoors recreation are great reasons to come. Camping out really is a pleasant thing to do, and Prospector in Colorado is the outdoors at its greatest. Harvey Gap State Park is a tremendous site to go if you're at Prospector; you can hit the slopes at Sunlight Mountain nearby.

is always a good idea. Near Prospector you find Cemetery Gulch which is a fine place to take a look at, and don't leave without popping by Rifle Falls State Park.
So much enjoyable stuff right next door to Prospector, and you always have a nice time when you're here. Outdoors
recreation is plentiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, playing golf, hiking, fishing, and swimming, so running out of cool stuff to do won’t happen. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is great on Roaring Fork, and people from Glenwood Springs love to come here.
