Ponderosa Campground, San Juan and Jemez Mountains, Colorado   The workforce who's always there to help and the great facilities are reason enough to come here. Coming to this campground is always a pleasant idea. During the warm months highs here at Ponderosa Campground reach the 60's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Ponderosa Campground. With so many things to do in Colorado you'll never get bored. Ponderosa Campground is often visited by folks from Antonito. There's no way anyone can     get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There are splendid sites to look at along the Conejos Stock Driveway; lots of people from Antonito come here. The fine variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are glorious reasons to come. You completely should go for Ponderosa Campground. Going for a hike on the Posos Trail is always a good adventure, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio de los Pinos. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ponderosa Campground a wet location; the month with most of the snow is March, and June is the month with the least moisture. This campground is a pleasant place to pop by. McIntyre Peak is gorgeous and can be seen from Ponderosa Campground, and don't leave Ponderosa Campground   without first going for a hike along the Notch Trail. Among the things you can do close to Ponderosa Campground are hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of cool things to do won’t happen. Near Ponderosa Campground you hit upon the Spruce Hole Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Carson National Forest is a tremendous spot to stretch your legs a bit. Good hiking is available along the Red Lake Trail, and Conejos River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. When was the last time you went for a camping trip? Ponderosa Campground in Colorado is such a fine spot. There is so much fun stuff in the vicinity of Ponderosa Campground, and when you are here for a while you will feel like a whole new person. So much amusing stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Rio de los Pinos, and obviously Elk Creek flows through this neighborhood.
