One Mile - Gunnison National Forest, Colorado

| | A number of folks select this campground to be close to Sweitzer State Park. This campground is so glorious. A great location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of One Mile is Gunnison River, and unsurprisingly Dry Creek flows through this region. One Mile is commonly a quite dried up place; during the month of October you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. People from Delta love to come to One Mile; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kannah Creek.

The surroundings of this campground have such a large number of things to offer. Don't leave One Mile without first going for a hike along the Blue Grouse Trail, and a golf course nearby is Devil's Thumb Golf Club. Some activities here at One Mile are fishing, hiking, playing golf, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored.

Near One
Mile you find the Point Camp Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and needless to say, A spree to Dry Gulch is always fun. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. There is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of One Mile called the Point Trail, and Sweitzer
State Park is a magnificent site to stretch your legs a bit.
The caring environment and the extremely capably operated facilities are a tremendous attraction for loads of people. One Mile is a very well prized campground by residents of Delta. For the period of the long summer
days highs here at One Mile get into the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for One Mile.
Garnet Mesa Dam has glorious water scenery and it's in close proximity to One Mile, and Grand Mesa National Forest is a beautiful place any time of year.
