Olive Ridge - Arapaho National Forest, Front Range, Colorado Custom Search   There's so many things to do near Olive Ridge; if you're trying to find a great location to go camping for a couple of days, this is a glorious pick. Several people camp here during their trip to Lory State Park. Among the things you can do in close proximity to Olive Ridge are whitewater paddling, fishing, playing golf, swimming, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. This camp ground is located in the striking Front Range. So many fun things to do in the Front Range, not enough time. An afternoon playing golf at     Fort Collins Country Club Golf is always a joy, and hiking along the Round Mountain Trail is great fun. This campground is so striking. If the weather is perfect here at Olive Ridge, you can go for a hike along the Greyrock Trail, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Cache La Poudre River. On a brilliant day at Olive Ridge you can take a hike along the Sheep Creek Trail, and when you're here it's always fun to stop at Boyd Lake State Park. The glorious local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; Olive Ridge has it all. There's whitewater on Big Thompson River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Olive Ridge is a place with many visitors from Fort Collins. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Olive Ridge with nighttime   lows in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Olive Ridge dip into the 10's. Olive Ridge is a very popular old favorite campground among people of Fort Collins. This place, the Front Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Going for a hike along the Wintersteen Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Spring Canyon Dam is not far at all from Olive Ridge. Olive Ridge gets very little rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month. This is truly a perfect campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cache La Poudre River; Rocky Mountain National Park is a great local destination. This segment of Colorado has a great deal of outdoors activities on hand. The workforce of this great campground and the prettiness of the location have people coming from far and near. Lakes? Sure, Dixon Reservoir is in the vicinity; do take a hike on the Jug Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Olive Ridge. A quick visit to Dixon Creek near Olive Ridge is a nice idea, and Lory State Park is both splendid and stunning.
