| | This is a quaint little resort lake; fishing was pretty good, ours was a day trip; camping appeared to be fairly haphazard and crowded. There were very interesting ruins of stone masonary which led one to believe that the place had a history but in our visit we were unable to find information on the history of the place. This campground is always a diversion.
So many enjoyable things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not sufficient time. Going for a hike along the Black Hills Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Hell Canyon is also a wonderful place to explore.
| The nice local attractions and the nice variety of outdoors recreation are perfect incentives to come.
Monument Lake Resort is positioned in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Monument Lake Resort gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

a brilliant local campground if you happen to be in Colorado. There is so much enjoyable stuff to do in close proximity to Monument Lake Resort; it is one of lots of brilliant campgrounds in this region.
Cherry Creek is near Monument Lake Resort and is always a bliss to check
out, and a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Lathrop State Park. This is such a pretty campground. Take a hike on the Apishapa Trail, and hiking along the Wade Trail is nice fun.
It's completely out of the question to get bored in Colorado if you have
a thing about the outdoors. This site, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Hayrack Mountain can be spotted from Monument Lake Resort, and there are other places here than Monument Lake Resort, for example Monument Lake. The warmest time of the year
brings highs in the 80's to Monument Lake Resort. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Monument Lake Resort.
As if Monument Lake Resort wasn't enough, you
can also go swimming, hiking, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Peaks Trail, and Monument Lake Dam is a place that is in close proximity to Monument Lake Resort.
