Says Diane Hess This is a quaint little resort lake; fishing was pretty good, ours was a day trip; camping appeared to be fairly haphazard and crowded. There were very interesting ruins of stone masonary which led one to believe that the place had a history but in our visit we were unable to find information on the history of the place. Says Denise Smith Monument Lake Resort is pretty dried out typically; throughout the month of     August you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. Monument Lake Dam is not far at all from Monument Lake Resort, and splendid skiing awaits you at Eldora. The Apishapa Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Monument Lake Resort; do visit Cherry Creek since you're here at Monument Lake Resort. Camping in Colorado is such a fun thing to do. This campground is so delightful. The great choice of local attractions, and the nearby outdoors recreation are magnificent reasons to come. Some activities here at Monument Lake Resort are fishing, swimming, and hiking, so running out of amusing things to do won’t happen. There's so much stuff to do in the neighborhood of Monument Lake Resort, and it is one of loads of great campgrounds in this vicinity. The obliging operators of the campground and   the competently kept up facilities will make you feel great. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Hayrack Mountain is beautiful and can be seen from Monument Lake Resort, and there are other locations here than Monument Lake Resort, for example Monument Lake. Monument Lake Resort is one of the sites to camp here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do close to Monument Lake Resort. There are magnificent locations to look at along the Black Hills Trail, and close by you stumble on nice locations like Hell Canyon. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike on the Peaks Trail is always a delightful adventure, and nearby you hit upon the Wade Trail which is a great hiking trail. You've been indoors for too long, you need to get out, and Monument Lake Resort is a great local campground if you happen to be in Colorado. The surroundings of this campground have such an incredible array of things to offer. When you're here at Monument Lake Resort it's always fun to have a look at Lathrop State Park; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the West Peak Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Monument Lake Resort with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Monument Lake Resort dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights.
