Lost Burro Campground, Front Range, Colorado

| | We have 50 tent sites, 27 electric sites, 6 full hookup sites, and several different types of lodging, hidden among the pines on 31 acres, in a secluded valley. There is a small stream running through the valley giving you the opportunity to pan for gold. There are several hiking trails starting in the campground, and lots of open space for a leisurely stroll or games. There are ATV trails and fishing about 20 minutes away.
For your convenience our restrooms, heated showers, and dump station are centrally located by the office, along with the ice |
machine, and fire wood. We have supplies, and food available in the office/store.
Your pets are welcome to camp with you at no extra cost, but must never be left alone at your campsite. It is your responsibility to pick up after your pets no matter where you walk them.
| | Going to Mueller State Park close to Lost Burro Campground is a fine thing to do, and get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Arkansas River. This campground is a gorgeous spot to go to. All year is a glorious time in the Front Range if you like the outdoors. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Indian Trail, and Lost Burro Campground is right by the Rule Ridge Trail. So many cool things to do here in the Front Range, too perfect to be true. for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend South Platte River. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things right next door to Lost Burro Campground. If you're going to Lost Burro Campground from Cripple Creek, you won't be the only one; hiking is a popular
thing to do around Lost Burro Campground; Barr Trail is a glorious local trail. Lost Burro Campground is pretty arid frequently; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Lost Burro Campground
mostly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while Lost Burro Campground night low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. The peak of Red Mountain can be seen from
Lost Burro Campground, and do take a hike on the Rule Creek Trail. This is such a fun spot for a campground. Eleven Mile State Park is a good site to have a look at on a wonderful day; why not take a refreshing hike along the Phantom Creek Trail.

AMENITIES
Tent camping is available - Yes, we have 50 tent sites on the grass along a small stream or in the trees. These are large well spaced sites with lots of room. RV hookups are available - We have 26 electric sites and 6 full hook up sites. Pets are allowed - Yes pets are allowed, but cannot be left alone. Campfires are allowed - Every site has a fire pit, and picnic table. We can have camp fires as long as there isn't a fire ban on. Has Store - We have a small store with the office. Grocery store nearby - There are several stores in Cripple Creek which is four miles away. No pool No Game Room
RATES: Lodging: 2 people per night $129. 00 Each extra person is $10. 00 per night Full hook up sites are $27. 00 a night. Electric sites are $23. 00 a night Tent sites are $18. 00 a night.
Large group tent camping is $5. 00 per person per night.
Site prices include two people extra people are $3. 00 each per night limit 6 people to a site. Site prices include the use of the showers. Children under the age of 5 are free.
