| | While you're here at Lodgepole you can take a hike along the Blue Grouse Trail, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Escalante Creek. Loads of people camp here when they come to stop at Sweitzer State Park. As if Lodgepole wasn't enough, you can also go whitewater paddling, hiking, fishing, playing golf, and swimming, so it's out of the question to get bored. You can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Powderhorn, and a round of golf at nearby Devil's Thumb Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time. |
Summertime highs at Lodgepole frequently tend to be in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lodgepole. Hiking along the Winter Mesa Trail
| is splendid fun, and during your visit here you'll meet some people from Delta for sure. At this campground you will always have a perfect time. Don't forget to take a glorious little trip to Dry Creek, and a lake close by is Sweitzer Lake. You can run the rapids of Gunnison River in the neighborhood of Lodgepole, and a great place to have a look at nearby is Dry Gulch. Colorado. Lodgepole is often visited by the people from Delta. So many local attractions and such a splendid variety of outdoors recreation are splendid reasons to come. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great earth it would be. Take a hike on the Point Camp Trail, and Kannah Creek is a perfect whitewater spot close by. Colorado has a lot of outdoors activities.
