Lake Fork is very popular with residents of Monte Vista. Lake Fork gets very little precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

The surroundings of this campground have so much to offer. Sherman Lake is a delightful lake close to Lake Fork, and San Luis State Park is a good spot to explore on a wonderful day. At last, camping season is here once more,

There's so much to do next to Lake Fork, and it is a fun spot for young and old. For the duration of the summer months at Lake Fork temperatures are generally in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Fork are in the-10's. You're sure to come across some nice people from Monte Vista here.
Hiking along the Alamosa River Trail is pleasant fun, and if you come at the right time of year, Conejos River offers some great whitewater. The positive atmosphere and the good quality of everything here will make you feel wonderful. | |
