There's whitewater on Cache La Poudre River for all you adrenaline people, and Boyd Lake State Park is a great place to go. Rocky Mountain National Park is a fine local destination here at Kelly Dahl, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Kelly Dahl; Greyrock Trail is a great local trail. As if Kelly Dahl wasn't enough, you can also go playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, and hiking, so running out of amusing things to do won’t happen. This campground has so much cool stuff to offer. If you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some good whitewater, and brilliant hiking is available along the Wintersteen Trail. Many people camp here in order to be in the neighborhood of Lory State Park. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sheep Creek Trail, and you're possibly addicted to lakes, Dixon Reservoir is one of those nearby. Kelly Dahl gets very little rainfall; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. So much fun stuff right next door to Kelly Dahl; to be at this place is magnificent fun any time. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Kelly Dahl has to offer.
