| | At House Creek exciting stuff to do is plentiful, and campgrounds like these are glorious. All the fine local attractions in close proximity and the nearby outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back over and over. All through the days of summer at House Creek highs are generally in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows at House Creek during the wintertime regularly descend into the-10's.
There's more to do near House Creek other than just hanging out such as |
playing golf, fishing, swimming, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
Not much precipitation falls here at House Creek; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Whitewater
| paddling is magnificent on Conejos River; lakes are such calm places, why not go to Sherman Lake.
Going for a hike on the Alamosa River Trail is always a glorious adventure. If you are in Colorado through camping season, you ought to go camping. This is such a magnificent campground. There is a magnificent hiking trail right next door to House Creek called the North Fork Dry Creek Trail; during your tour here you'll meet some folks from Monte Vista for sure.
