If the weather is pleasant here at Horse Creek Campground, you can go for a hike along the Rule Creek Trail; Pike National Forest is a glorious place to stretch your legs a bit. If you come to this campground, you will have a magnificent time for sure. If time allows, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth visiting, and nearby you find the Phantom Creek Trail |
which is a perfect hiking trail. This campground has so many fun things to offer. If you come at the right time of year, South Platte River offers some fine whitewater, and a brilliant site close by is Wren Gulch.

| to do here in the Front Range. Roxborough State Park is a delightful place any time of year, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the South Manitou Park Trail. Horse Creek Campground gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Horse Creek Campground is a site with many visitors from Sedalia, and there's whitewater on South Platte River for all you thrill seekers.
