| | If you come at the right time of year, Rio Grande offers some perfect whitewater, and hiking along the Wolf Creek Stock Driveway is delightful fun. Some activities here at High Country Lodge are hiking, fishing, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do.
The friendly surroundings and all the splendid passtime activities are reason enough to come here. The tremendous choice of local attractions, and so much stuff to do will beyond doubt have you coming back repeatedly.

You could also take a look at Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir while you're here at High Country Lodge; it's close by; there are plenty of folks from South Fork here.
| Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Take a side visit to South Fork Rio Grande, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Hot Creek Stock Driveway. So much cool stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, just inspiring. Get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of San Juan River - East Fork, and the Highline Trail is a good hiking trail close by.

Creek Trail. You truly should fancy High Country Lodge. While staying at High Country Lodge you could always discover Walker Draw, and going for a hike along the Lake Fork National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. The warmest time of the year
brings highs in the 60's to High Country Lodge. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are generally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to High Country Lodge.

Lodge a pretty wet place; the month of March is the wettest with most of the snow, and June is when it's the driest. High Country Lodge is a campground loved by people in South Fork. This is such a fun place for a campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's
