| | A trip to Guanella Pass wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Golden Gate Canyon State Park, and lots of folks from Silver Plume come here. There is a fine hiking trail in the neighborhood of Guanella Pass called the Argentine Trail, and a splendid spot like Arapaho National Forest is too brilliant to leave out. Going for a hike on the Chicago Lakes Trail is always a great adventure. If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be let down; there's swimming, fishing, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so probably you want to stick around for a while. |
A day on the slopes of Arapahoe Basin is just what you need, and Duck Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Going camping here in Colorado is something you should do. This is such a fun spot for a campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you
| then we recommend Woods Creek, and Guanella Pass is certainly a great location to visit. It's really unhealthy to spend all your time indoors; you've gotta get out sometimes, and Guanella Pass in Colorado is the outdoors at its finest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Guanella Pass. Very tremendous water scenery is available at Altura Dam close to Guanella Pass, and there are tremendous places to discover along the Burning Bear Trail. you always have a great time when you're here. The nice local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came. If you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek - West Fork offers some delightful whitewater; if the weather is perfect, you can
go for a hike along the Silver Dollar Lake Trail. The yearly precipitation here at Guanella Pass is about average; the month with most of the snow is April, and October is the month with the least moisture. This campground is always a joy. On a delightful day at Guanella Pass
you can take a hike along the Abyss Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear Creek. The staff who's always there to lend a hand and a good variety of cool things have scores of people coming here. Through the warm months, highs mostly are in the 60's at Guanella Pass
while nighttime lows are mostly in the 30's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Guanella Pass dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
