It's a nice idea to check out North Zapata Creek, it's right next door to Great Sand Dunes Oasis, and needless to say, everybody loves Rio Grande National Forest. This campground is so great. Going for a hike on the Huerfano Trail is always a fine adventure; as expected, all our national parks are good spots to visit and Great Sand Dunes National Monument is no exception. High temperatures at Great Sand Dunes Oasis during the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Great Sand Dunes Oasis are in the-10's. Great Sand Dunes Oasis is situated in a region with lots   of exciting stuff to do, and if you're trying to locate a nice spot to go for a weekend of camping, this is a good pick. It is very waterless here at Great Sand Dunes Oasis typically; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. So many local attractions and such a wonderful variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back again and again. There's pleasant hiking along the Cascade Trail, and the cheerful folks of Mosca like to hang out nearby. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Great Sand Dunes Oasis. There are splendid locations to look at along the Ute Trail, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Great Sand Dunes Oasis; Music Pass Trail is a delightful local trail.
