Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bolling Gulch Trail, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby course is Fossil Trace Golf Club. Golden Gate is a location that is rather dry frequently; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Near Golden Gate you stumble on wonderful sites like Crawford Gulch, and great hiking is available along the Beaver Brook Trail.
