| and there are some perfect whitewater spots on San Juan River.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Elk Meadows Camping. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Elk Meadows Camping night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This is truly a great campground. This campground is so charming. This is a brilliant region for folks who like lakes. Pinon Lake Reservoir is a lake around here, and there's whitewater on Rio Blanco for all you adrenaline junkies.

Pagosa Springs love to come to Elk Meadows Camping, and Pagosa Springs Golf Club is a wonderful golf course nearby. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. The Fourmile Stock Trail is a splendid hiking trail next to Elk Meadows Camping, and lovely scenery and good skiing is what you get at Wolf Creek.
