The delightful variety of local attractions and the delightful variety of outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came. Durango Koa Kampground in fact is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. From a precipitation point of view Durango Koa Kampground is a relatively typical location; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most while June is frequently the driest month.

Colorado is a great outdoors state. This campground is always a diversion. Good hiking is available along the Goodhope
Stock Driveway; get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Animas River. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Durango Koa Kampground; Highline Trail is a magnificent local trail, and San Juan National Forest is a great site to stretch your legs a bit.
Now, you may
feel that's heaps but there's even more fun things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Not far from Durango Koa Kampground you get some great water scenery at Keeler Dam, and Treasure Pass is also a good spot to explore. This is such a fun location for a campground.
Take a little tour to Elbert Creek since you're here at Durango Koa Kampground, and you can run the rapids of Canyon Creek.
And if that's not sufficient there's loads more amusing things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Highline
Loop Trail, and a swamp like Mitchell Lakes near Durango Koa Kampground has lots of interesting things to see. There's absolutely no way to run out of amusing stuff to do next to Durango Koa Kampground; campgrounds like these are great. Summer at Durango Koa Kampground comes with
high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Durango Koa Kampground.
