Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Thompson River; don't leave Dowdy Lake without first going for a hike along the Wintersteen Trail. With such a large number of things to do in Colorado you'll never get bored. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Front Range. the Greyrock Trail. Several folks camp here to be close to Lory State Park. The Front Range scenery is always wonderful. The workforce that runs this campground and all the splendid passtime activities are in themselves cause enough to come here. So many cool things in
the Front Range, just amazing. A trip to Dowdy Lake wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by Boyd Lake State Park, and there are plenty of folks from Fort Collins here at Dowdy Lake. This is such a perfect campground. Soar down the rapids of Cache La Poudre River in a
kayak, and of course, this is a tremendous region for folks who like lakes, College Lake is a lake around here. You need to get out of the house, and Dowdy Lake in Colorado is such a fine spot. It's totally impossible to run out of cool things to do close to Dowdy Lake; it
is a fine escape from the routine. All through the summertime months highs here at Dowdy Lake reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's with temperatures at Dowdy Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
