| | Dowdy Lake is a very popular campground among folks in Red Feather Lakes. You clearly have to adore Dowdy Lake. If you're here, you might as well stop by Wildcat Canyon; going for a hike on the Mount McConnel Trail is always a glorious adventure. Quite a lot of exciting stuff to do close to Dowdy Lake; it is a very good campground. A number of folks opt for this campground for the purpose of being close to Roosevelt National Forest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cache La Poudre River, and the Kreutzer Nature Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. |
This campground is so pleasant. There are some nice whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River - North Fork, and nearby you stumble on the North Lone Pine Trail which is a fine hiking trail. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. And that's not all you can do here
| in the Medicine Bow Mountains. At Dowdy Lake Dam next to Dowdy Lake there are some exciting things to see, and you'll come across a delightful lake called Parvin Lake. Dowdy Lake is located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Do pay a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park if you're here at Dowdy Lake, and you absolutely ought to go to Lory State Park while you're here. locations to look at along the Killpecker Trail, and a golf course close by is Fox Acres Country Club. Get dripping wet paddling on Cache La Poudre River, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail. Just can't get enough of the
Medicine Bow Mountains. A tour to Roosevelt National Forest when you're here at Dowdy Lake is never a bad idea; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Red Feather Lakes. At Dowdy Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights
temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Dowdy Lake. Hey, it's been too much time since you went outside, time to go camping; Dowdy Lake in Colorado is a good selection. At Dowdy Lake you don’t see
much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July; December meanwhile is the driest month. This part of Colorado has a good deal of outdoors activities on hand. The good folks who operate this location and the tremendous facilities have folks coming from all over.
