Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest, Front Range, Colorado   There's such a great deal of things to do at Dowdy Lake including hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, and playing golf, so almost certainly you want to stay a while. Rocky Mountain National Park is a very tremendous place to check out in the neighborhood of Dowdy Lake, and why not visit nearby Dixon Creek if you're here at Dowdy Lake. At Dowdy Lake you don’t see much precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the     amusing things at Dowdy Lake. Dowdy Lake is a very popular old favorite campground among folks in Fort Collins. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Dowdy Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dowdy Lake; Sheep Creek Trail is a magnificent local trail, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at Spring Canyon Dam close to Dowdy Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Thompson River; don't leave Dowdy Lake without first going for a hike along the Wintersteen Trail. With such a large number of things to do in Colorado you'll never get bored. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Front Range. If you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some good whitewater, and there are nice places to discover along the Round Mountain Trail. This   is such a wonderful campground. Don't leave Dowdy Lake without popping by Lory State Park; in the neighborhood of Dowdy Lake you locate a golf course called Fort Collins Country Club Golf. Going for a hike on the Jug Trail is always a great adventure, and there's great hiking along the Greyrock Trail. Several folks camp here to be close to Lory State Park. The Front Range scenery is always wonderful. The workforce that runs this campground and all the splendid passtime activities are in themselves cause enough to come here. So many cool things in the Front Range, just amazing. A trip to Dowdy Lake wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by Boyd Lake State Park, and there are plenty of folks from Fort Collins here at Dowdy Lake. This is such a perfect campground. Soar down the rapids of Cache La Poudre River in a kayak, and of course, this is a tremendous region for folks who like lakes, College Lake is a lake around here. You need to get out of the house, and Dowdy Lake in Colorado is such a fine spot. It's totally impossible to run out of cool things to do close to Dowdy Lake; it is a fine escape from the routine. All through the summertime months highs here at Dowdy Lake reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's with temperatures at Dowdy Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
