Dakota Ridge RV Park, Colorado

| | This is an urban RV park - so don't expect the wilds, and they are a bit on the pricey side. But I highly recommend this campground. The staff and facilities are first rate. The park is well-lit and the rock hill which makes the backdrop has several picnic tables, the view is awesome and it is also dramatically lit at night. Everything is very well maintained from the shower and laundry to the clubhouse to the lots themselves. We have a 34 foot motorhome and had no problem navigating and getting hooked up. to get a few needed parts, drinks and snacks. Being urban it can be noisy though! The east side is by a distribution plant. We're parked by it and the sounds of trucks go on throughout the week during the day. The west side of the park is near a couple of sports/biker bars.
| Sometimes at night the music from these can get loud. Our RV neighbors are nice and quiet, though. Mostly fulltimers this time of year with a few weekenders. Location is a bit wierd to find (be sure to get careful directions) but once there is convenient to many things - downtown Golden (very lovely little visit), Home Depot, movie theatres, restaurants, clothing stores, grocery and Jamba Juice. undeniably have you coming back persistently. There's glorious hiking along the Bear Peak Trail; paddling on Clear Creek is so much fun.
The caring folks working here and the good facilities are a great pull for scores of people. If the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a fine
vista of South Table Mountain from Dakota Ridge RV Park, and Eldorado State Park is a delightful spot any time of year. This campground is a picturesque place to stop by. While you're here at Dakota Ridge RV Park, you could also stop at beautiful Beaver Brook Number 3 Reservoir;
playing golf is lots of fun at Applewood Golf Course.
At this campground you will always have a magnificent time. Go for a hike on the Beaver Brook Trail; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Fossil Trace Golf Club is close by. Get drenched paddling on Clear
Creek; a round of golf at nearby Rolling Hills Country club is a great way to kill some time. A lot of folks pick this campground in order to be close to Chatfield Lake State Recreation Area.
Dakota Ridge RV Park is pretty waterless commonly; the month with most of the rain
is May, and the driest of the months is January. Colorado has scores of outdoors activities. There's plenty of outdoors recreation available close at hand such as hiking, playing golf, swimming, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so most likely you want to stick around for a while.
Don't leave Dakota Ridge RV Park without first going for a hike along the Mesa Trail, and no need to travel far to go to out of the ordinary stuff like Castle Rock. For the duration of the summer months at Dakota Ridge RV Park temperatures are generally in the 80's with overnight
lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Dakota Ridge RV Park. Chatfield Lake State Recreation Area is a splendid spot to stretch your legs a bit, and the Green Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best.
Quite a lot of enjoyable things to do near Dakota Ridge RV Park, and camping is such a fun thing to do, and this is a good location to do that.
So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Dakota Ridge RV Park, too pleasant to be true. Bear Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling
spot close by, and close by you find Jackson Gulch which is a splendid place to have a look at.
Pack your tent and sleeping bag and get your motor running; Dakota Ridge RV Park in Colorado is the outdoors at its best. Yeah, come here to Dakota Ridge RV Park for a brilliant
time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dakota Ridge RV Park; Saddle Rock Trail is a fine local trail; people from Golden love to come here.
