Dakota Ridge RV Park, Colorado

| | This is an urban RV park - so don't expect the wilds, and they are a bit on the pricey side. But I highly recommend this campground. The staff and facilities are first rate. The park is well-lit and the rock hill which makes the backdrop has several picnic tables, the view is awesome and it is also dramatically lit at night. Everything is very well maintained from the shower and laundry to the clubhouse to the lots themselves. We have a 34 foot motorhome and had no problem navigating and getting hooked up. to get a few needed parts, drinks and snacks. Being urban it can be noisy though! The east side is by a distribution plant. We're parked by it and the sounds of trucks go on throughout the week during the day. The west side of the park is near a couple of sports/biker bars.
| Sometimes at night the music from these can get loud. Our RV neighbors are nice and quiet, though. Mostly fulltimers this time of year with a few weekenders. Location is a bit wierd to find (be sure to get careful directions) but once there is convenient to many things - downtown Golden (very lovely little visit), Home Depot, movie theatres, restaurants, clothing stores, grocery and Jamba Juice. some fine whitewater. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. At Dakota Ridge RV Park you can make out South Table Mountain, and Chatfield Lake State Recreation Area is a scenic place any time of year. This is such a fun spot for a campground. Eldorado State Park is a
perfect location to stop at, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Golden. Fossil Trace Golf Club is a great golf course close by, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Mesa Trail.
Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Beaver Brook
Trail; you have to unquestionably check out Castle Rock while here. Near Dakota Ridge RV Park you discover the Green Mountain Trail which is a great hiking trail. This campground is a stunning spot to stop at. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Applewood
Golf Course, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Bear Peak Trail.
Nearby lakes? Sure, Beaver Brook Number 3 Reservoir is near Dakota Ridge RV Park, and glide down the rapids of Bear Creek in a kayak. Dakota Ridge RV Park is pretty dehydrated generally; through
May this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Man, is there a lot of amusing stuff to do in close proximity to Dakota Ridge RV Park. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Rolling Hills Country club is close at
hand, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Saddle Rock Trail.
For the duration of the summertime highs here at Dakota Ridge RV Park reach the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are frequently in the 40's while Dakota
Ridge RV Park nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. What would winter be without some skiing at Eldora; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Clear Creek.

AMENITIES
No tent camping available
RV hookups are available - All 144 sites have water, sewer and 30 or 50 amp electricity.
Pets are allowed - PETS are allowed other than aggressive breeds like dobermans, pit bulls, rottweillers, akitas, and staffordshire terriers.
No fires - No place for campfires - this is a metropolitan park.
Has Store - We have a gift shop and also sell drinks and snacks. There is a 7/11 across the street from us.
Grocery store nearby - A Super Target that sells groceries is approximately 2-3 miles from park. Also a King Soopers is 3 miles away
Pool - We have a heated outdoor pool and hot tub open during the summer months.
Game Room - We have a pool table and a small exercise and fitness room.

Rates for summer '09 - Non Good Sam - $42-$47 plus tax daily (back in sites are the lower price and pull thru sites are the higher price)
Good Sam or AAA discounted rates $37. 80 - $42. 30 plus tax
