Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Gunnison River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Crawford; Cureranti Pass Trail is a wonderful local trail.

All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the vicinity of Crawford will keep you coming back repeatedly. Going for a hike on the Hartman Trail is always a splendid adventure, and
a nice site to explore is Buck Canyon. If you come at the right time of year, Gunnison River offers some good whitewater, and pleasant hiking is available along the Hammond Trail.
As if Crawford wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get
bored. There are good locations to look at along the Through Line Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cimarron River.
