There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Big Thompson River. Lakes are fine; Dixon Reservoir is a lake that's next to Cold Springs. This camp ground is one of the brilliant sites to camp here in the Front Range. All through the summertime months, highs usually are in the 80's at Cold Springs, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cold Springs are in the 10's. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are in fact bountiful here at Cold Springs. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Front Range. Don't leave Cold Springs without dropping by Boyd Lake State Park, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cold Springs;   Round Mountain Trail is a fine local trail. There is so much amusing stuff to do near Cold Springs, and it certainly is a fine campground. Hiking along the Sheep Creek Trail is brilliant fun, and Rocky Mountain National Park is a very perfect spot to go to. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Front Range is unbeatable! Take a hike on the Greyrock Trail; there's whitewater on Cache La Poudre River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Alright, you've been indoors for too long, now's the time for going camping, and Cold Springs in Colorado is the outdoors at its greatest. There's splendid hiking along the Jug Trail, and Lory State Park is worth visiting. This campground is so great. Lots of folks from Fort Collins come to Cold Springs, and there's some flowing water nearby, Dixon Creek is a stream you can stop at while you're here. Cold Springs gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's a lot of outdoors recreation available close by such as playing golf, whitewater paddling, fishing, swimming, and hiking, so it's out of the question to get bored. Such a great choice of attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came.
