While you're here at Chicago Creek you can take a hike along the Jug Trail, and Big Thompson River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Chicago Creek called the Wintersteen Trail, and going for a hike on the Greyrock Trail is always a magnificent adventure. as a base while enjoying the Front Range. Boyd Lake State Park is worth stopping at if you're at Chicago Creek, and you can run the rapids of Cache La Poudre River. Chicago Creek gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains
| the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So much exciting stuff to do in the Front Range, not sufficient time. While you're here at Chicago Creek, you could also pop by picturesque Dixon Reservoir, and why not stop by Spring Canyon Dam if you're here. The staff who's always there to assist and the skillfully operated operations have people coming from near and far. La Poudre River. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Chicago Creek. There is so much enjoyable stuff in close proximity to Chicago Creek, and camping is such an enjoyable activity, and this is a great spot to do that. There's no way somebody can
get bored here in the Front Range. Go for a hike on the Sheep Creek Trail, and naturally Dixon Creek is a lovely stream that is worth taking a look at. This campground has so much cool stuff to offer. A visit to Rocky Mountain National Park is recommended, and if you're here
you will meet lots of people from nearby Fort Collins. While going to this region in Colorado it's a great idea to go camping too. All through the warm months here at Chicago Creek, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the
50's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Chicago Creek are in the 10's. So many local attractions and so many things to do will positively have you coming back again and again.
