Chambers Lake - Arapaho National Forest, Front Range, Colorado   There's such a large number of things to do near Chambers Lake, and it is a very perfect campground. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Front Range. There are some good whitewater spots on Big Thompson River, and you can go for a hike on the Round Mountain Trail. You've gotta get out, and Chambers Lake in Colorado is precisely what you need. Some activities here at Chambers Lake are playing golf, whitewater paddling, fishing, hiking, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. With such a large number     of things to do in Colorado you'll never get bored. The good variety of local attractions and so many things to do are delightful causes to come. Lory State Park is worth a visit if you're at Chambers Lake; there's fine hiking along the Greyrock Trail. The folks who look after the campground and the well maintained facilities makes the journey here worthwhile. At Chambers Lake you don’t see much precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest. Chambers Lake is located in the Front Range. Lots of people opt for this campground in order to be near Lory State Park. This campground is so great. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Fort Collins Country Club Golf, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cache   La Poudre River. Chambers Lake is a very popular old favorite campground among the people from Fort Collins. What a location this is for outdoors folks. At Chambers Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's, and night lows at Chambers Lake through the winter regularly fall into the 10's. At this campground you will always have a great time. A tour to Chambers Lake wouldn’t be complete without a trip to close by Boyd Lake State Park, and going for a hike on the Jug Trail is always a great adventure. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in close proximity to Chambers Lake. A journey to Rocky Mountain National Park is worthwhile, and you'll hit upon a pretty lake called College Lake. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Front Range. Spring Canyon Dam is gorgeous and it's near Chambers Lake, and glorious hiking is available along the Wintersteen Trail. At Chambers Lake you always meet someone from Fort Collins; the Sheep Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. Dixon Creek is a stunning stream that is worth stopping at; if you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some magnificent whitewater.
