| | Not much rain falls here at Chambers Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. Near Chambers Lake you find a golf course called Fort Collins Country Club Golf; pleasant hiking is available along the Jug Trail. Yeah, come here to Chambers Lake for a pleasant time. The tremendous people who operate this place and the delightful quality of everything here are a great pull for a lot of folks. Chambers Lake is a campground rather often visited by campers from Fort Collins. |
This segment of Colorado is always a joy to check out throughout camping season. The Front Range scenery is always striking. The warmest time of the year at Chambers Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Daytime highs
| all through the winter are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Chambers Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. This campground has so much cool stuff to offer. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chambers Lake; Wintersteen Trail is a great local trail, and if you're stopping by from Fort Collins, you won't be the only one. Lory State Park is a great site, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cache La Poudre River. over. A number of people stay at Chambers Lake so they can go to Lory State Park. Everybody loves Boyd Lake State Park, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Greyrock Trail. So many cool things to do here at Chambers Lake, too splendid to be true. Getting to Dixon Creek
from Chambers Lake is painless, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cache La Poudre River. Get your sleeping bag packed and leave the city behind; Chambers Lake in Colorado is precisely the place. This campground is so great.
While you're here at Chambers Lake, you could also go to pretty Dixon Reservoir, and Chambers Lake is right by the Sheep Creek Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the destinations right next door to Chambers Lake
that are magnificent to go to, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Thompson River offers some perfect whitewater. At Chambers Lake cool stuff to do is bountiful, and it is one of loads of tremendous campgrounds in this area. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in
the Front Range. Spring Canyon Dam is a gorgeous place near Chambers Lake; there's tremendous hiking along the Round Mountain Trail. Some activities here at Chambers Lake are fishing, swimming, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
