La Poudre River. Chambers Lake is a very popular old favorite campground among the people from Fort Collins. What a location this is for outdoors folks. At Chambers Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally
in the 50's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's, and night lows at Chambers Lake through the winter regularly fall into the 10's. At this campground you will always have a great time. A tour to Chambers Lake wouldn’t be complete without a trip to close by Boyd
Lake State Park, and going for a hike on the Jug Trail is always a great adventure. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in close proximity to Chambers Lake. A journey to Rocky Mountain National Park is worthwhile, and you'll hit upon a pretty lake called College
Lake. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Front Range. Spring Canyon Dam is gorgeous and it's near Chambers Lake, and glorious hiking is available along the Wintersteen Trail. At Chambers Lake you always meet someone from Fort Collins; the Sheep Creek Trail
offers hiking at its best. Dixon Creek is a stunning stream that is worth stopping at; if you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some magnificent whitewater.
