| | Camp Dick is fantastically popular with the folks of Fort Collins. There's always Spring Canyon Dam to pop by near Camp Dick, and a tour to Rocky Mountain National Park is recommended. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cache La Poudre River, and you can go for a hike on the Jug Trail. Outdoors people generally like this part of Colorado. This is such a fun place for a campground. You can run the rapids of Cache La Poudre River next to Camp Dick, and don't leave Camp Dick without first going for a hike |
along the Round Mountain Trail. The good people who run this site and the glorious facilities are in themselves reason enough to come here. For the period of the warm months at Camp Dick highs are typically in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime
| highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Camp Dick dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Camp Dick. If you're here at Camp Dick, you could explore Dixon Creek, and there's great hiking along the Wintersteen Trail. When was the last time you went camping for a couple of days? could also have a look at Dixon Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. Not much rainfall falls here at Camp Dick; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Camp Dick; Greyrock Trail
