There's some out of the ordinary stuff to observe at Boyd Lake Dam near Boyd Lake; Lory State Park is a good site to stretch your legs a bit. Boyd Lake is often visited by the folks of Loveland.
The great variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are brilliant reasons to come.

| at nearby Cattail Creek Golf Course is a tremendous way to kill some time. Boyd Lake is typically a rather arid site; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Boyd Lake is not far at all from Loveland, and a stunning lake like Westerdoll Lake is a splendid place to visit.
There are some good whitewater spots on Big Thompson River, and do pay a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park if you're here at Boyd Lake. Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do close | |

to Boyd Lake. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Ptarmigan Country Club, and there are delightful spots to discover along the Round Mountain Trail.
There are so many fun things to do in close proximity to Boyd Lake; campgrounds like these are great.
This campground is always a joy. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cache La Poudre River; Dry Creek is near Boyd Lake and is always a pleasure to have a look at.
All through the warm months highs here at Boyd Lake get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's.
All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Boyd Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. Go for a hike on the Jug Trail, and Boyd Lake is close to Boyd Lake State Park which is a beautiful place.
