can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Simmons Peak Trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Arkansas Headwaters; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January.
This campground is so glorious. Get drenched paddling on Arkansas River, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Round Mountain Trail.
