| | There's just no way someone can get bored here at Amphitheater. The scenery at Garnet Mesa Dam in the neighborhood of Amphitheater is delightful; Gunnison River is a good whitewater spot nearby. Amphitheater is extremely well esteemed by visitors from Delta. This campground is a delightful location to explore. A tremendous place like Sweitzer State Park close to Amphitheater is too glorious to leave out, and there's great hiking along the Blue Grouse Trail.

Thumb Golf Club is a great golf course nearby. Such a wonderful selection of attractions and such a wonderful variety of outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back time and again.
Scores of people camp here to be next to Sweitzer State Park. If you're here
| at Amphitheater, you could go to Dry Creek; nearby you stumble on the Point Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Here at Amphitheater there are plenty of folks from Delta, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Sweitzer Lake.
It's been too long since you went outside, you've gotta get out; Amphitheater in Colorado is such a nice spot. Don't leave Amphitheater without first going for a hike along the Bull and Brown Trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Escalante Creek. Camping in Colorado is such a fun | |

Going for a hike on the Point Camp Trail is always a good adventure, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Powderhorn. Be careful coming to Amphitheater, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Going to Grand Mesa National Forest next to
Amphitheater is a pleasant thing to do. Amphitheater is ordinarily a quite dry place; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain while February is regularly the driest month.
At this campground you will always have a good time. There are tremendous places
to look at along the Winter Mesa Trail, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kannah Creek. The obliging operators of the campground and a tremendous variety of cool things have people coming from far and near.
There's more to
do in close proximity to Amphitheater other than just hanging out such as fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, playing golf, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. It's not possible to run out of cool things to do near Amphitheater; it's one of those spots where everything is nice.
During the warm days of summer here at Amphitheater, high temperatures generally get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Amphitheater sink into the 10's.
