There's more to do next to Amphitheater other than just hanging out such as hiking, swimming, playing golf, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. The great people who operate this spot and the wonderful facilities have folks coming from all over. This sector of Colorado is always a diversion to stop by all through camping season. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Amphitheater. |

Sweitzer State Park is a magnificent spot to stretch your legs a bit, and do take a hike on the Point Trail. Summertime highs at Amphitheater regularly tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are generally
| in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Amphitheater are in the 10's. During your visit to Amphitheater you'll meet some folks from Delta for sure, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Bull and Brown Trail. Amphitheater is a campground loved by folks of Delta. This is such a fun site for a campground. Escalante Creek is a great whitewater spot close to Amphitheater, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Winter Mesa Trail. Mesa National Forest is a beautiful place any time of year. Don't forget to take a pleasant little spree to Dry Creek, and there's whitewater on Gunnison River for all you adrenaline junkies. Ok, you've been cooped up for too much time, and Amphitheater is a great local campground
if you happen to be in Colorado. This campground is a beautiful site to have a look at. You can run the rapids of Kannah Creek near Amphitheater; the Blue Grouse Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby. The good variety of local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation
are magnificent causes to come. The skiing at Powderhorn is fine, and a wonderful place is Dry Gulch. Garnet Mesa Dam is a gorgeous spot next to Amphitheater, and playing golf is lots of fun at Devil's Thumb Golf Club. At Amphitheater amusing stuff to do is plentiful, and camping
is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a great spot to do that. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Point Camp Trail, and since you're here, you could also explore lovely Sweitzer Lake. Amphitheater is pretty waterless typically; the month with most of the rain is October, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
