Get yourself into a kayak and hit Fordyce Creek, and needless to say West Branch Humbug Creek flows through this region. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Royal Gorge, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Eureka Lake Trail.
