Thousand Trails, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   So much fun stuff next to Thousand Trails, and campgrounds like these are fine. So many cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Onion Valley is a tremendous place to spend some time at; a magnificent view of stunning Texas Hill is available. The good variety of local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back over and over. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is hiking, fishing, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so perhaps you want to stick around.     Go for a hike on the Mears Lake Valley Trail, and unsurprisingly, everyone loves Malakoff Diggins State Park. But wait, there's more to do near Thousand Trails. There are good spots to explore along the Burnett Canyon Trail, and get soaked paddling on Yuba River - South Fork. This campground is so great. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Valley Trail; there are other sites here than Thousand Trails, for example Lake Spaulding. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Thousand Trails get into the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Thousand Trails dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Thousand Trails is a quite wet place commonly with a good deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout January while   July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This location, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors fun things. The wonderful folks of Emigrant Gap like to hang out close by, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on American River - North Fork. Good hiking is available along the Mumford Bar Trail, and float down the rapids of Fordyce Creek in a kayak. How long has it been since you went for a weekend of camping? Thousand Trails in California is the outdoors at its most excellent. Tahoe National Forest is a great location, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Thousand Trails; Italian Bar Trail is a delightful local trail. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always stunning. This campground has so many amusing things to offer. Looking for some flowing water? Try Monumental Creek, and you can hit the slopes at Royal Gorge around here. The accommodating operators of the campground and all the exciting things are cause enough to come here.
