Little Sulphur Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by; going for a hike along the Tomales Point Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. There's so much to do in the vicinity of Thousand Trails; if you're looking for a good location to go for
a camping trip, this is a great choice. This is such a good campground. Lakes are perfect; Jenner Pond is a lake that's next to Thousand Trails; there are plenty of folks from Monte Rio here. Yeah, come up here to the Coast Ranges for a great time. In the event that you don’t
have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Sulphur Creek, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Monte Rio Fire Trail. So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are nice incentives to come. Several people camp here
for the purpose of being in the neighborhood of Gleason Beach. A trip to Austin Creek State Park when you're here at Thousand Trails is a wonderful idea, and since you're here at Thousand Trails it's a great idea to go to Freezeout Flat. The high level of rain makes Thousand Trails a relatively wet spot; the month with most of the rain is January; the driest month is July.
