| | Thousand Trails is a campground prized by the people from Jamul. There are some fine whitewater spots on Los Penasquitos Creek; a round of golf at nearby Steele Canyon Golf Club is a brilliant way to kill some time. Such a splendid selection of attractions and the splendid variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. Good hiking is available along the Corte Madera Trail, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Jamul for sure.

Around Thousand Trails you don’t get a lot of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and July is when it's the driest. This campground is so charming.
There's more to do right next door to Thousand Trails other than just hanging out such as hiking, swimming, playing golf, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Santa Rosa Mountains has to offer. Going for a hike on the Old Stage Route is always a perfect adventure, and you can go for a hike on the Horsethief Ridge Trail.
For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs
ordinarily are in the 80's at Thousand Trails. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 60's; overnight lows during the winter for Thousand Trails tend to be in the 40's. There's no way to run
out of cool things to do right next door to Thousand Trails; it's always fun to be at this campground.
California is a tremendous location for outdoors people.
Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Thousand Trails. A trip to Cleveland National Forest
when you're here at Thousand Trails is a delightful idea, and do visit Loveland Reservoir, it's a picturesque lake. Coming to this campground is always a fine idea. Don't leave Thousand Trails without first going for a hike along the Pine Creek Trail, and a trip to Cabrillo National Monument is recommended.
