Stumpy Meadows - Eldorado National Forest, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   Stumpy Meadows is a great camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's a lot of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as hiking, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so it's just not possible to get bored. Through the warm days of summer at Stumpy Meadows temperatures are typically in the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with temperatures at Stumpy Meadows dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. So many local attractions     and such a magnificent variety of outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back over and over. There are so many enjoyable things to do near Stumpy Meadows, and to be here is always fun. This is in fact a perfect campground. Cosumnes River - Middle Fork is a pleasant whitewater spot next to Stumpy Meadows, and why not take a little tour to Ringgold Creek since you're here. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. During your journey to Stumpy Meadows you'll meet some folks from Placerville for sure; do set aside some time for Coon Hollow while you're here at Stumpy Meadows. California is a glorious site for campers. Don't leave Stumpy Meadows without first going for a hike along the Nevada Point Trail; sites like Indian Grinding Rock State Park are pleasant to   stop by. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do in the neighborhood of Stumpy Meadows. Sacramento Hill is scenic and can be seen from Stumpy Meadows; if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on American River - South Fork. Good hiking is available along the Bake Oven Trail, and a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is American River - South Fork. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is excellent! Hiking is a popular thing to do around Stumpy Meadows; Pigeon Roost Trail is a pleasant local trail, and Cedar Ravine is close by, and is a brilliant site. Stumpy Meadows is a popular spot with the folks from Placerville. The staff of this glorious campground and the large amount of cool stuff to do are a magnificent pull for scores of folks. You need to get out of the house, and Stumpy Meadows in California is such a glorious site. The annual rain here at Stumpy Meadows is about average; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. A lot of folks choose Stumpy Meadows when they come to pop by Marshall Gold Discovery State Park. This campground is so pretty. Marshall Gold Discovery State Park is a nice place to stretch your legs a bit, and if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Camino Heights Golf Course.
