If you come to this campground, you will have a great time for sure. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mt. Ashland, and Elk Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. Having a delightful time in the Siskiyou Mountains is easy. Mitchell Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and hiking along the Horse Camp Trail is wonderful fun. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the Siskiyou Mountains has to offer. While you're here at Steelhead Lodge and RV Park you can take a hike along the Low Gap Trail, and a fine spot for whitewater paddling is Klamath River. Steelhead Lodge and RV Park is a top choice with people of Scott Bar. This section of California is always a delight to visit throughout camping season.
