Nelson Point to Milsap Bridge portion is splendid to run. This portion of Feather River - Middle Fork is proposed for expert paddlers exclusively. Don't go kayak paddling before first checking restrictions; it's perilous business. The 2.3-mile-long Claremont Trail is a lovely backpacking trail with a splendid 1,051-foot variation in elevation.
